Creating a Blog / Website for Business Use – Get ready
Moodle YouTube
is a video sharing website.
YouTube Help | YouTube Video Tutorials
Notes to participants
As we learned from the “She in Europe” software, being a successful entrepreneur is very much about being
List
a good networker and
List a good performer and storysteller respectively.
So what you are are going to do now is to take your 1-page executive summary either of your business plan and concept or your curriculum vitae and turn it into a an ‘elevator speech’.

The idea behind an elevator speech is that if you are stepping onto an elevator and someone asks “What are you doing for living?”, what do you say? You have only very little time to convince this person you are someone to get to know – someone to do business with.

To get a better idea of a compelling elevator speech, you may have a look at the following videos:
List
ExtremeMeetings (2008): Verbal Ping Pong. YouTube video, published October 7th, 2008.
List Dresang, Joel (2009): Elevator Speech how to video. YouTube video, published March 15th, 2009. (Facebook Examples)
List bconnor123 (2009): Elevator Speech. YouTube video, published November 5th, 2008
List McCormac, Joe (2009): Sheffield’s Elevator Speech – The One Minute Pitch. YouTube video, published January 12th, 2009.
Assignment
List
Produce a 60-90 second film with the help of a cell phone or camera with video capabilities, introducing either your company or yourself focussing on your present job and upload it to the YouTube Video Channel “She in Europe”. (Note: If you have no opportunity to produce a video, concentrate on writing your elevator speech, and add your text to a posting to the Forum “Elevator Speech”.
